Our league uses golfer strokes scoring per round. In the Tour Championship the starting scores will be staggered based on the FedEx Cup standings. For example, the FedEx Cup leader will start at 10 under par. I am wondering how the scoring will be handled for our fantasy league each round. Will the scoring be based on the actual scores that players shoot in each round? Or will it be based on the players score to par after each round including the bonus shots under par that they started the tournament with?

Thank you for any clarification you can give on this. I would like to be able to inform the rest of our league ahead of time how this will be handled.

The way they did it last year was each individual day the points accumulated was based off the low round of the day on strokes not their score in relation to par. This is done for the complete four days. The only time the fed ex bonus will come into play will be for the final score and the bonus points for 1st 2nd and 3rd place that is my understanding and how they did it last year

The strokes will work just like any other tournament.

Thank you for your reply but I would just like to make sure I understand so that I can explain it to others in our group.

For example:
Lets say the leader of the FedEx Cup standings going into the tournament shoots even par 70 in the first round. However his official score on the leaderboard will be -10.

Are you saying that his round one fantasy scoring will be based on the even par score and not the -10 score?

That is correct. The final leader board score after fed ex starting strokes will only effect the 20-10-5 bonus points
